Auckland Badminton has a solid and reliable Senior Representative program. We provide weekly high performance coaching and development programs to our squads as well as training camps throughout the year. Included for all squads is 1 hour of footwork training each week. It is expected all squad members will do additional fitness work outside of squad training.

· Players must be at least 15 years old before entering in Senior Representative Programs. Junior Players who have been selected and have chosen to be in the senior representative program must play for seniors and juniors in team competitions if selected i.e. Wisden and NZJTC

· Wisden and Division 3 Players must play in the Yonex Senior Super League (YSSL) on Thursdays 6pm to 9pm Gillies Ave (starting 2024).

· Wisden Squad at all times only to have best 12 males and 12 females. If someone new comes, they must earn their way up, and someone will drop to Division 3 Squad. Division 3 Squad can have up to 12 females and 12 males, which may include a limited number of players who are under 15, if they are able to earn a place based on merit.

· To play in Division 3 or 4 must be a member of Division 3 or Aspiring Squad if not enough players available, then selectors will look at members of other ABA Squads with all players 15 or older being eligible.

· The Aspiring Squad is an opportunity for Division 4 players and others who would like to have access to a higher level of training at an affordable price.

SENIOR REPRESENTATIVE COACHES

Our Senior Representative Program is overseen by Coach Feng Li. Feng will be responsible for working with our squad head coaches for planning and delivery for sessions throughout the year. She will be Head Coach of the Wisden Squad, and will be seen often at trainings providing support and guidance to our coaches and players as a senior mentor.

Each squad will have a Head Coach, will have qualified assistants supporting them.
