Badminton Oceania have announced VICTOR Oceania Championships has been relocated from Badminton North Harbour to Auckland Badminton Stadium.

The tournament will run from 13th-19th February 2023, with setups taking place a few days before. 

Following the recent floodings over the past week and the damages to North Harbour on the news, our management team and coaching staff have been working harder than ever. 

With the confirmation of #VOC23 on short notice, this has impacted our event calendar, court bookings, club sessions, squad trainings, and other programmes we had originally planned, especially the Junior Singles Ladder (Junior Rep trials). Thus, we are on a tight schedule and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The pressure is on, we will keep you updated! 

Emails have been sent out to all bookings affected by the tournament.

Our team is now looking forward to work with Badminton Oceania and Badminton North Harbour to ensure this event goes ahead.

"Times have been challenging with the extraordinary weather events over the past week, and all Badminton Associations have had to come together to support each other. 

"With the unfortunate damage to Badminton North Harbour Stadium we have been able to work with Badminton Oceania and Badminton North Harbour to ensure the VICTOR Oceania Championships 2023 can still go ahead at Auckland Badminton Stadium. 

"We appreciate all our clubs, members and other stakeholders for their understanding and willingness to make adjustments to their regular programs at short notice to make this possible."
