Auckland Badminton would like to thank the Waitemata Local Board of the Auckland Council for their support of our student program. A lot of students in CBD and local area cannot get access to the sport so this was aimed at helping to grow that. This was held at the Pitt St YMCA and attracted students from the local area and provided a program that allowed them not only to have a go but to also link into the University of Auckland Badminton Club. We are looking to expand this program next year to include more students and to hopefully hold in two venues. Thanks also to Geoffrey Yu and the University of Auckland Badminton Club for their support of this program.
