Gilli Cafe at Auckland Badminton Stadium Closes

After nearly 18 months of collaboration, Gilli Cafe and Auckland Badminton have mutually agreed to close down the cafe located at the Auckland Badminton Stadium. Despite numerous efforts to put on specials and promote events, the cafe was not financially viable due to the changing nature of sports, with less socialising after matches, and the convenience of services like Uber Eats.  Gilli Café continues to run at its other venues including Newmarket and Auckland CBD.

Auckland Badminton would like to extend its sincere thanks to Gilli Café Owner Mac Yu for his dedication and efforts in providing a valuable service during our tournaments. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Gilli Cafe in the future for catering and sponsorship of events.

Mac Yu expressed his gratitude to Auckland Badminton for their collaboration and efforts to make the cafe at ABA Stadium a success. He wishes Auckland Badminton well and looks forward to continuing to be part of ABA as a sponsor.
