The Auckland Badminton Association (ABA) Board is pleased to announce that following the recent departure of our General Manager, Tony Naidu has been appointed Acting General Manager. Tony will step into the role while the Board reviews the current organisational structure and commences a recruitment and selection process to make a permanent appointment.

Tony has been with Auckland Badminton as Development Manager since 2022, having worked in several other sporting organisations in the past.  During his tenure, we have seen significant growth in ABA's programs, enhancing the development of the sport of badminton throughout the Auckland region.

The Board is confident that with close Board support, Tony will provide consistent leadership during the transition period, and our stakeholders will see positive steps as we embed our recent Strategy. We will provide a further update once we have concluded our search for a permanent General Manager replacement.

In the meantime, the Board is initiating a wide stakeholder survey to seek feedback and looks forward to your responses to inform our plan for the future.
